At times your coils or curls just won't act right and it's difficult to make them shine and behave. These are the tell-tell signs that it's time to remove the old, dulling residue and make a fresh clean start, but without dehydrating your hair.

Aqua/Water/Eau, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Powder, Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit Powder, Citrus Reticulata (Tangerine) Fruit Extract, Glucose, Fragrance/Parfum (Limonene), Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Lactoperoxidase, Glucose Oxidase, Sodium Chloride
Usage
- Wet hair thoroughly.
- Gently massage into lather throughout hair and scalp.
- Rinse well.
- Repeat as necessary.
- Follow with conditioning. Use either As I Am® Hydration Elation® Intensive Conditioning Treatment or As I Am® Leave-In Conditioner.
Use as needed on an intermittent basis with the other As I Am® cleansers: Cleansing Pudding+ Sulfate-Free Moisturizing Cleanser for the Hair & Scalp and Coconut CoWash Cleansing Conditioner.
Immediately after clarifying is the perfect time to experience intense conditioning with As I Am® Hydration Elation® Intensive Conditioner.
Tips of Joy
- Make sure to detangle completely during either the shampoo step or the conditioning step, while the hair is soaking wet and saturated with the lather or conditioner. Use a wide-toothed comb or, if you prefer, a paddle brush. Only after detangling should you proceed to the final rinse.
- While shampooing, keep hair in a smooth downward alignment as you lather. Doing otherwise, (bunching, scrubbing, vigorous scrunching, etc.), may cause extensive tangling.
- If you want to cleanse your hair and scalp and don't have a significant amount of product build-up or oil to remove, here's a great way to maximize moisture! Cleanse with As I Am® Cleansing Pudding + Sulfate-Free Moisturizing Cleanser,(low poo), or As I Am® Coconut Co-Wash Cleansing Conditioner (no poo).This will keep your hair wonderfully hydrated!
Refunds & Returns
We do not do any refunds, exchanges, or returns. All sales are final. If you receive a package that was damaged in transit, please file a claim with the appropriate carrier that your items were shipped by, USPS, UPS, etc. We are not responsible for any damage incurred to package once we have placed the package in the possession of a carrier. If there is a discrepancy with your order that is related to the items being different from what you ordered, please email us, and include a picture of the items that you received as well as your packing slip. Once a discrepancy is confirmed, at your discretion, we will reship your item free of charge, or provide you with a full refund.
Shipping
All orders are processed and shipped within 24 hours, but no later than 72 hours during the week. Weekdays are considered Monday through Friday. Orders received on the weekend will began their 24 hours on the next business day. If an order is received and we are out of stock, the customer will be notified immediately and asked how to proceed. If we are not able to contact the customer within 24 hours, the out-of-stock item will be refunded, and the rest of the order will be processed and shipped.
All orders will be sent to the delivery address provided by the customer. We cannot be held responsible if that delivery address is incorrect. If we receive an error when trying to process the order, we will make every attempt to contact the customer to verify the address prior to shipping. If we do not receive a response within 24 hours, we will ship goods to the address provided. Once we ship a package, we do not refund any funds if it is undeliverable; therefore, any package that is returned due to it being undeliverable, the package was refused, or any other reason beyond Essence of Beauty's control, items will be restocked and the order will be refunded less the shipping cost & a 20% restocking fee. We will always deliver goods according to the delivery option selected by the customer during the order process. If possible, to deliver goods in a speedier delivery option, we will do so, but only if this option is available with the carrier selected by the customer. We are only responsible for processing and shipping orders in the appropriate time allotted for the customer to receive their order according to the delivery option selected. Once orders are in the carrier’s possession, we are not responsible for any delays caused by a third party, i.e., carrier.
